How Your Donation Helps

Contributions to The Skills Foundation ensure stability and future growth. The foundation manages grant monies, in-kind donations, and is registered with the State of Pennsylvania.
All contributions to The Skills Foundation are tax deductible.
All donors and prospective donors have the rights listed in A Donor Bill of Rights.

Honor the Memory of Someone Special - A named fund

Named funds allow you, the donor, to establish a fund within The Skills Foundation in honor of an organization or individual, or to honor the memory of someone close to your heart. A portion of the interest income each year is used to benefit the individuals Skills serves. Together, the donor and Skills staff choose a meaningful way to allocate the funds, while at the same time supporting Skills' mission. Donors may also designate the Skills Foundation as a beneficiary of memorial donations made in lieu of flowers sent to the funeral home. Each donor receives a letter of thanks with a receipt for income tax purposes.

Stanley Goldman Scholarship Fund - Tuition Assistance

This new scholarship provides tuition assistance for individuals with disabilities who want to pursue their dreams of obtaining college degrees at technical and vocational schools. By donating to this scholarship fund, you will help decrease the financial burden of pursuing higher education so that many motivated individuals can gain employment and be financially independent.

Annual Fund – Creating Hope & Stability to Make Our Mission Happen

Annual gifts establish opportunities to buy special equipment such as orthopedic devices or communications boards. By supporting The Skills Foundation with an annual gift, no matter what size, you will become a member of a core group of people who truly change lives. Every penny of your annual gift will be designated to improve the quality of someone's life. There will be no administrative cost attached to annual gifts made to The Skills Foundation. For example, your contribution of $2.50 per week (the cost of a cup of coffee a day) would mean the world to us and to the people we support.

Planned Giving – Make Sure the Skills’ Mission is Fulfilled
Through Planned Giving, you can help Skills support individuals in the years to come. You may wish to consider designating The Skills Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, or you may consider an estate planning gift. This donation option allows you to make a gift to Skills and to receive significant tax benefits at the same time.
